Defense Minister Ehud Barak approved, Thursday evening, four nominations by Chief of Staff Benny Gantz to the Forum of the General Staff. New navy chief Ram Rotberg, technology-branch head Kobi Barak and teleprocessing commander Uzi Moscovich will be replacing retiring generals Eliezer Marom, Danny Biton and Ami Shafran, respectively.

Yossi Baidatz, who made a name for himself as the research director of military intelligence, will replace Gershon Hacohen as commander of the military colleges. General Hacohen will continue to command the Northern Battalion.
