Opposition leader Tzipi Livni arrived attended on Wednesday a protest by left-wing activists in the Rose Park in Jerusalem.
“I was glad to hear you went to protest,” Livni told the protesters, adding, “The social problems in Israel are not a natural phenomenon but a matter of policy and policy can be changed. The good news is that the prime minister in Israel today is completely disconnected, but easily influenced by pressure. The stronger the voices outside, the more measures he will take.
“The role of the government is to offer solutions,” Livni added. “It should never be only the result of negotiations. We are not dealing with the economy but with humans.”
