Netanyahu Addresses Housing Protests, Pushes Capitalism

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu (Likud) spoke from the Knesset plenum Wednesday afternoon, saying "there is a populist wave sweeping through the country. There is a serious statement regarding the hardships, and statements that are less serious regarding the solutions."

"You cannot cut down a tree if you want to enjoy its fruit. I think solutions must be made, while preserving the tree, which is our free economy and dynamism," he said in defense of his capitalist solutions to the housing crises.
