Chairman Shaul Mofaz of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee was interrupted, Monday morning, when he opened the committee meeting with remarks about the housing crisis. Member of Knesset Danny Danon (Likud) said the domestic matter was not within the scope of the committee. The meeting got back on course after other Knesset members echoed Danon's sentiments.
Mofaz, who narrowly lost to Tzipi Livni for leadership of the Kadima party, got into a heated exchange with the opposition leader after she let some classified information related to a subcommittee slip during the course of the proceedings.
