Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest to moderate losses at the close of business on Sunday. The TA composite index declined .78 percent to 1,097.01, slightly worse than the TA 100. The lone bright spot was the insurance index, which rose .53 percent to 1,296.67, while losses in banking sector helped drive down the financial institutions .87 percent to 1,132.40.
The biomed index closed at 802.06, down 1.15 percent while the rest of the technology sector dropped 1.69 percent to 274.36. The real estate index closed at 305.84, down 1.42 percent, while the oil and natural gas stocks fell a percent to 1,188.62. The media and communications index finished the first day of the trading week at 979.63, down .22 percent.
