Gas Price Increase Canceled

The excise tax on gas is to be lowered, Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz and Infrastructures Minister Uzi Landau agreed on Sunday. The tax was to be a major component of the scheduled price rise in gas at midnight Sunday, when gas prices were to rise by 31 agurot per liter.

As a result of the decision, the increase in gas prices for this month has been canceled.
