PM: Changes Will be Made

Speaking at Sunday's cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that at least some of the complaints by protesters for lower costs of living were justified, while others were not. “We are obligated to deal with the real problems in a serious and responsible way, and I have no doubt that this will bring about a real change in priorities.

“I must say that we in Israel are today able to take the necessary steps because we have acted responsibly in the economy until now. In recent years Israel has been growing, its unemployment rate is the lowest in the Western world, and these things allow us to make the necessary changes,” Netanyahu said.
