The official value of the shekel rose an average of .113 percent, Friday, against most of the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.43, the same as Thursday's rate. Also staying the same were the Jordanian dinar (4.8378 shekels) and the Lebanese lira (NIS .0227 equalling 10 lira).
The Euro declined .137 percent to 4.8951 shekels, while the pound sterling was set at NIS 5.5859. The Japanese yen rose .136 percent, with 100 yen buying 4.4207 shekels.
