Rabbi Links Homosexual Parade to Recent Fire

Rabbi Ephraim Holtzberg of the Task Force against Thursday's 10th annual homosexual pride parade in Jerusalem protested, Thursday evening, against the decision to allow the parade and against funding for the Open House organization which organized it. Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service. Rabbi Holtzberg said, "Ninety-nine percent of the residents of this city are disgusted and revolted by this abomination parade. It's not appropriate for Jerusalem. Both the Jews and the Muslims oppose it."

He said dozens of people should have taken to the streets to protest "the harm to the holiness of Jerusalem" and expressed hope that a Thursday evening prayer protest against the parade, led by a spectrum of rabbis, would be heard. The rabbi also described the city's 35,000-shekel funding of Open House as "lawlessness" and concluded, "It probably didn't just happen that there fires in the Jerusalem forest. Things don't just happen."
