Public Safety Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich approved, on Thursday, the recommendation by Police Chief Yochanan Danino to appoint Police Brigadier General Alon Levavi to be the department's spokesman, replacing Hillel Partouk, who resigned this week after less than two months in the position.
Levavi is the former commander of the department's Lachish Division.
