Group: Beaches Now Jellyfish-Free

The Israeli Research Institute for Oceans and Lakes on Thursday declared Israeli beaches jellyfish-free. Several days have gone by since any jellyfish attacks were reported, and spot checks of the country's beaches show that the jellyfish have moved on.

This years' jellyfish infestation was particularly strong, the Institute said, with the brunt of the plague hitting between Rishon Lezion and Ashdod in the south, and between Nahariya and Hadera in the north.
