Population Officials Prevent Robbery by Infiltrator

It was disclosed, Tuesday afternoon, that a team from the Interior Ministry's Population and Immigration Authority, operating in the area of Tel Aviv's central bus station, prevented an Eritrean from robbing a 70-year-old Israeli during the morning hours.

The team responded to the victim's calls for help when he was attacked, at which time it was determined that the would-be robber was an iniltratror. The immigration team took the Eritrean and the Israeli to the Levinski police station to file a complaint. Executive Director Amnon Ben-Ami of the authority made it clear that the incident was serious but said his personnel would carry out their duties even in such cases.
