Stipends Increased for Disabled IDF Vets


Elderly IDF veterans who were injured in battle will receive an increase in their monthly stipends, the Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee decided Monday. According to the decision, IDF veterans who were injured in the army and are over 65 years of age, with a disability level of at least 50%, will receive in increase of NIS 1,120 in their stipends. Those whose stipends are already higher than the new maximum set by the Committee will continue to received the same amount as they receive now.

MK Haim Katz (Likud), chairman of the Committee, said that it was important to take care of IDF veterans, as they had given much to the country.
