Erdogan Issues Apology Ultimatum

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has given Israel a deadline of two days to either apologize for the deaths of 9 Hamas-affiliated activists who were killed in the 2010 flotilla, or “suffer” a worsening of relations. A report in the Turkish media says that without the apology, Erdogan is planning to cut diplomatic staff in Israel, and take other actions that would further chill relations between the two countries.

The Palmer Report on the flotilla is due out Wednesday. A Turkish media report Sunday said that the report was likely to condemn IDF soldiers for intending to kill activists on the Mavi Marmara when they boarded the ship last year.
