Disabled Seniors to Receive Electricity Discount

Infrastructures Minister Uzi Landau signed electricity-market regulations, on Monday, which grant reduced tariffs to disabled people who receive a senior-citizen stipend.

In the framework of the new regulations, the discount for the first 400 monthly kilowatt hours will be 50 percent. The Electric Company will grant the reduction in the bills it sends its customers after it receives the relevant information from the Bituach Leumi (National Insurance Institute).
