Iran to Sign Gas Pacts with Syria, Iraq

The Iranian national gas company is scheduled to sign agreements, Monday, with Syria and Iran to increase natural gas exports to those two countries, according to Iranian state media. The increase will be effected via a $10-billion pipeline to be built between the three countries over the next three-to-five years.

Syria will purchase 25 million cubic meters of the fuel a day. Some of the fuel is slated for delivery to Europe.
