MK Uri Ariel (National Union) on Sunday asked Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin to immediately set up a special committee to investigate the housing crisis in Israel. “The government has failed in one of its basic tasks, ensuring affordable housing for citizens. The government has many options at its disposal, but it does not act on them, and Israelis continue to suffer,” MK Ariel said.
He also recommended that MKs of all parties in the Knesset provide a representative to the committee. “This is not a political or party issue, and dealing with it must override party affiliations,” MK Ariel added.
