Al-Qaeda Claims Responsibility for Algeria Attacks
The north African branch of al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for suicide bombs in Algeria over the weekend that a security source said had killed at least two people, the SITE online monitoring service said late Tuesday.
The site claimed that al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) said it had carried out two suicide bombings in Bordj Menaiel, a town 70 kilometers east of the capital Algiers.
