Affordable Housing Held Up in Ranana

City officials have approved the construction of 1,645 relatively cheap apartments in Ranana, but the project is being held up by a regional committee, News1 reported Tuesday.

The projects that have initial approval include the construction of 300 affordable housing units west of the city, as part of a special project for affordable housing, and the construction of 3,500 apartments in the city, 1,200 of which would be 85 square meters or less and would be relatively inexpensive.

The various housing plans have been held up by the regional committee awaiting approval for between seven and ten months.
