Interns Call on PM to Intervene
Medical interns called Tuesday for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to intervene in the ongoing dispute between the Treasury and the Israel Medical Association. Doctors have been instituting sanctions for months in protest of low pay and a shortage in manpower.
The interns asked Netanyahu to add 2,800 new jobs to the healthcare system immediately, to put an end to a manpower shortage in hospitals that has led to strikes among interns and nurses as well as doctors.
