Foreign citizens who attempted to reach Gaza in violation of the naval blockade on Hamas arrived in Ashdod on Tuesday afternoon. They were met there by Border Control officials, and are expected to be deported.

The navy managed to peacefully defuse the group's effort to reach Hamas-run Gaza earlier in the day. The ship had managed to sail from Greece after tricking Greek officials by claiming to be en route to Egypt.
