Lifetime Stipends for Orphaned Terror Victims

The Knesset passed on its first reading a law that would provide a lifetime stipend for victims of terror attacks who have lost both parents. The law was sponsored by MKs Dalia Itzik (Kadima) and Zvulun Orlev (Bayit Yehudi). Forty one MKs voted for the measure, and none were opposed.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz arrived at the Knesset specifically to participate in the discussion and subsequent vote.
