Hareidi singer Benny Elbaz was the big winner on Sunday of the reality show “Hall of Fame,” which aired on Israel’s Music Channel.
12 singers who had in the past been considered stars in the Israeli music scene competed in the show, which concluded its first season. After he was announced as the winter, Elbaz sang the song “If I Forget Thee O Jerusalem” with his son, singer Gad Elbaz.
Benny Elbaz is known for his protest songs, among them a song about former Shas leader Aryeh Deri and a song of protest against the 2005 disengagement plan from Gush Katif.
