A hearing is scheduled for Friday morning in London on whether to grant bail to Sheikh Raed Salah, the leader of the northern branch of the Israel Muslim Movement, as he awaits deportation proceedings. Sheikh Salah is appealing last week's denial of bail.

Salah was arrested two weeks ago at the start of a speaking tour on charges of being in Britain illegally. He denies the charges.
