Chairman Ra'anan Cohen of the Labor Party Elections Committee submitted the first version of the party's registration book for the September 12th primaries to Labor's Central Committee on Thursday. It contains more than 70,000 names. That includes 22,000 who are waiting bank approval for payment of party membership.
Almost 10,000 names were removed from the registry. Reasons included payment measures that were not clear, membership in other parties, application forms that were not filled out by the applicant or a close relative, inaccurate identification numbers and incomplete forms. The applicants will be informed so that they can appeal by July 24th. The list will be finalized a week later.
