Human rights groups announced Tuesday that they will petition the Supreme Court to cancel the just-enacted Boycott Law immediately. The law calls for civil and criminal penalties for anyone calling for a boycott of Israel or the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria.

The parties to the petition are the Adallah Arab legal center, the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, Rabbis for Human Rights and the Women's Coalition for Peace.
