Members of the Shalit family attended a Kadima faction meeting Monday in order to hear the party's stance on what steps needed to be taken to release kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit from captivity. After the meeting, Gilad's father Noam and grandfather Zvi said they were disappointed in Kadima head Tsipi Livni, who had refused to sign a petition calling for the release of over 1,000 terrorists being held by Israel in exchange for Gilad.

Despite Livni's refusal, Noam Shalit said that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was wholly responsible for getting Gilad out of Hamas captivity.
