A strike threatened for the western Negev city of Sderot on Sunday was averted Saturday evening. Interior Minister Eli Yishai talked to Sderot Mayor David Bouskila Saturday evening, following Friday afternoon talks with Bouskila and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Yishai instructed his professional staff to draw up a series of proposals to be presented to the cabinet. They include an exemption from an accountant to accompany the city during the execution of a recovery program, in light of the city's situation.
