The prosecutor investigating the murder former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri asked Hizbullah chief Hassan Narsallah on Monday to assist in the investigation, Reuters reported.
“The prosecutor welcomes Mr. Nasrallah’s offer to provide the file that he stated he has on some elements of the investigation and requests the video material that was shown on television during his televised statement,” the Prosecutor, Daniel Bellemare, said in a statement.
He also asked for any other information and documents that would assist the tribunal.
Nasrallah has dismissed the tribunal and has said he will never hand over the four men who were indicted for the murder.
