Shas plans to intensify its efforts to fight the high prices in the Israeli economy, party officials said Monday. Party MKs said at a faction meeting that they would use “all the tools at our disposal” to lower the prices of basic food and other items that many Israelis consider overpriced.

Shas chairman Eli Yishai has asked party MKs to draw up an action plan on fighting high prices within two weeks.
