Syrian forces shot two demonstrators to death Sunday, during anti-government protests in the suburbs of Damascas, according to local residents cited by Reuters. The residents say many others were wounded and shots could be heard during evening demonstrations.
Residents of the city of Hama reported Sunday evening that tanks which were deployed at the entrance to the city withdrew. The tanks were deployed a day after President Bashar Al-Assad dismissed the local governor.
