Sharp increases were reported on most of the indices of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on Sunday. Leading the way was the technology index, which rose 3.49 percent to 287.82. The biomed component closed at 819.48, up 2.01 percent. The communications/media index rose 3.06 percent to 1,050.13 and the oil/natural gas index finished the day at 1,197.54, up 1.56 percent.

The TA composite index rose 2.45 percent to 1,129.77, halfway between the 2.55 percent gain of the TA 100, which closed at 1,141.76, and the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues, which finished the first day of the trading week at 1,252.91, up 2.37 percent.
