Britain is expected to announce this week a further troop reduction in Afghanistan. According to a New York Times report Saturday, Britain is to reduce by 800 the number of its troops deployed in Afghanistan.

The announcement comes just a short time after the U.S. announced that it would remove its 33,000 troops from the country,  with the first 5,000 returning in July.
