The Be'er Sheva District Court sentenced 32-year-old Nahad Hamid of Gaza to 20 years in prison, on Thursday, for his involvement in the firing of missiles on the western Negev city of Sderot and on the Erez Crossing from Gaza to other parts of Israel.

The ruling noted that Hamid was chosen for terror activity because his home was close to the Gaza security fence, which not only enabled the launching of rockets and monitoring the Israeli side, but the placing of improvised explosive devices along the fence.
