The Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues finished the day at 1,201.71, down .77 percent. With action only involving Israeli investors, trading was relatively light.
Most of the technology stocks rose by an averae of .87 percent to 270.37, while the biomed sector fell .61 percent to 792.00. The oil and natural gas index closed at 1,205.39, up .71 percent, while media and communications stocks slipped .19 percent to 1,013.93.
