"Nano IS Green", a five-day, nanotechnology, green energy conference, starts Sunday at Bar-Ilan University. The conference combines academic lectures and trips to nanotechnology facilities, as well as educational trips to unique sites and nature reserves in Israel. It's being organized by the 20 students from Bar-Ilan University who are part of the StandWithUs Fellowship, now in its fifth year, in conjunction with the Bar-Ilan Institute of Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials (BINA),
Sixteen award-winning nanotechnology students from all over Europe will learn about Israel's contributions and achievements in finding nanotechnology solutions for creating a greener world, while building international partnerships. The guest speaker is Prof. Emeritus Robert J. (Yisrael) Aumann of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, co-winner of the Nobel Prize in economics for 2005. Also addressing the group will be Science Minister Daniel Hershowitz.
