    Erdogan to Assad: Stop the Repression, Start Reforms

    Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on Tuesday on the phone with Syrian President Bashar Assad and told him that he must “stop the bloody repression against demonstrators,” the Turkish news agency reported.

    According to the report, Erdogan called on Assad to “stop the use of violence,” and stressed the need to “set a timetable for reform as quickly as possible and implement them quickly.”
