Angry TA Residents Protest Illegal Aliens
Residents of south Tel Aviv staged an angry protest at a meeting of the City Council, presided over by Mayor Ron Huldai, that was held in the Hatikvah neighborhood of the city. The residents were protesting the huge presence of African migrants in the city's southern neighborhoods, and the city's apparent unwillingness or inability to prevent the constant flow of illegal aliens into the area.
Protestors excoriated Huldai with insults and slogans, calling him “a collaborator of Sudan” and “the mayor of North Tel Aviv only.” Huldai told protesters that he “understands their pain, but unfortunately the government has failed in its tasks, including in closing the border” to further illegal immigrants.
