Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on Monday in Rome as part of efforts to prevent recognition of a unilaterally-declared Palestinian Authority state by the United Nations in September.

At the same time Israeli and Italian ministers will hold a joint meeting and sign cooperation agreements in the fields of education, culture, tourism and transportation.
