Director-General Ahmed Jibril of the Popular Front terrorist group claimed Thursday that elements in Ramallah, headed by Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas and Mohamed Dahlan, and senior Saudi officials "paid those who carried out the [anti-government] demonstrations [in Syria] in order to incite a civil war and serve Israel and America, harm Syria and embroil the Palestinians in the country's internal affairs."

Addressing a news conference held by Syrian-based terror organizations, Jibril said, Arabs who left Israel to live in Syria support the Syrian leadership, government and people, and his people did not shoot the demonstrators. It was reported earlier this week that Popular Front terrorists fired on demonstrators after demonstrators attacked and burned down the Popular Front headquarters over claims that the Popular Front bribed youths to risk being killed during demonstrations against Israel during Sunday's commemoration of the beginning of the Six Day War in 1967.
