Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi is ready to declare a ceasefire that would end the fighting in his country, South African President Jacob Zuma claimed Monday following his meeting with Libyan officials.
Zuma said that Qaddafi is ready to stop the fighting and accept the outline presented by the African Union, by which all attacks in Libya shall cease, including those of NATO. However, Zuma did not specify whether Qaddafi had agreed to resign as the rebels had demanded.
