The Jerusalem District Court turned down a request by attorneys for former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to postpone the opening of defense arguments in his case, scheduled for Tuesday. Olmert is supposed to testify in his own defense, and his attorneys said that he was not feeling well and might be unable to effectively present his case.

The court said that the trial would proceed on schedule.
