A report in the Lebanese media Monday said that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had met several times with Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah, to discuss the situation in Syria. According to the report, Assad told Nasrallah that he was prepared to institute some reforms, but that he drew the line at attempts to remove him from power.
On Sunday, A member of the Lebanese parliament said Sunday that Hizbullah terrorists were helping Syria put down the anti-government protests in Syria. The parliamentarian made the comment in an interview with a Lebanese radio station. He added that the Lebanese army was aware of Hizbullah's activities, but was unable to do anything to stop it.
