12 anti-regime protesters were injured Sunday night when Moroccan police used batons to disperse a demonstration the city of Casablanca, protest organizers told the Reuters news agency.
A spokesman for the government said in response that it was forbidden to hold the demonstration and the police only responded to the provocative behavior of the demonstrators.
