Egypt has arrested an Iranian diplomat for “passing information” from Iran's Cairo mission to the Iranian Foreign Ministry. The diplomat, Qassem Hosseini, was arrested and questioned earlier in the week, reports said. Egypt has not commented on the report.

Several weeks ago, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Nabil Elaraby said that Iran and Egypt were to resume full diplomatic ties.
