Police on Thursday filed an indictment in a Petach Tikvah court against a police officer who sought to sell weapons to criminal gangs. Abed Sa'adi was also accused of attempting to interfere with a police investigation and of falsifying evidence.
Sa'adi had been stationed at the Gelilot police station, where he sold ammunition to an undercover police officer he thought was a criminal, for use in what Sa'adi thought was to be a revenge shooting. Sa'adi was informed that the supposed criminal intended to do harm to another individual. He was paid an undisclosed amount of money for the ammunition, the indictment said.
