A small chartered plane being used as an air ambulance to ferry a patient to a hospital in New Delhi crashed Wednesday into a residential neighborhood on the outskirts of the Indian capital, government officials said.

The Press Trust of India reported that the airplane lost control during a dust storm and plunged from about 8,000 feet. As a result, the plane crashed into a residential building. All seven passengers on board were killed, as well as three others living in the house. Two other people were injured.
