The HIstadrut Labor Federation and railroad workers came to agreements with the management of the Israel Railways at the Tel Aviv District Labor Court on Monday to hold negotiations on the workers' futures until the first of July. During that time the workers won't strike or hold other sanctions.Workers have recently held sanctions over a threat by the Transportation Ministry to privatize the railroad.
The Histadrut announced that it would join the Transportation Ministry as partners in the talks, and the sides would report to the court every 10 days. The negotiations will center on safety, maintenance and updating salaries in accordance with public sector wage agreements.
