Shvut Ami Detainees Released

Three teenagers who were detained Tuesday during the eviction of Jews from Shvut Ami have been released. Police had asked that they be distanced from Shvut Ami for one month, and be required to give a cash guarantee to ensure compliance, but the request was rejected and the youths were released with no conditions.

The judge criticized police for detaining and questioning the three teenagers, all of them minors, without informing their parents. The parents of two of the detainees were informed of their child's arrest after questioning, while the parents of the third child were not informed at all, and missed Wednesday's court appearance as a result.
