The leaders of the Persian Gulf states are “concerned over Iran’s continued interference” in their internal affairs, Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani said on Tuesday, following a meeting of the Persian Gulf states leaders in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh.
Al-Zayani added that the Gulf states, which include Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, believe that Iran is conspiring against their national security by encouraging fanaticism among their citizens.
